Terms of use
1. The service
Mahattaty A platform that lists fuel stations, commercial spaces and in-station services for sale or rent, and connects tenants and investors with owners through the platform team. The platform is not a party to any sale or lease contract and does not collect payments through the app.
2. Your account
- You must be 18 or older and provide accurate information.
- You're responsible for keeping your password confidential and for any activity on your account.
- We may suspend any account that misuses the service or provides misleading information.
3. Listings added by owners
- You confirm that you are the owner or legally authorized to list the property, and that the information and photos are accurate and don't infringe anyone's rights.
- Every listing is reviewed before publishing, and we may reject or suspend it, or request proof of ownership and licenses.
- Any change to a published listing is sent back for review.
4. Prices and information
Listed sale prices, rents and areas are estimates and subject to negotiation and verification. Don't rely on the listed information without a site visit and a review of the documents.
5. Fees and commission
Use of the platform is completely free for now: no fees for signing up, posting listings, jobs, maintenance requests or transport truck listings, or for applying to them, and no commission on deals.
When a deal is completed through the platform, a commission is due: % of the agreed monthly rent for lease deals, and % of the sale price for sale deals, under a written agreement with the parties before signing.
If we decide to charge a commission in the future, it will apply only to new deals after being announced here and in the app, and will not apply retroactively. No payments are collected in the app, and hiring is always free for workers.
6. Employment
- Station owners are responsible for the accuracy of their job posts, and workers are responsible for the accuracy of their profiles and experience.
- Asking a worker for any money in exchange for a job or interview is prohibited, and any listing or account that does so will be suspended immediately.
- A worker's number is shown to a station owner only when the worker applies to their job, or when the station owner requests the number from the worker's profile (this is logged and the worker is notified). Using numbers for any purpose other than hiring is prohibited.
- Mahattaty only connects the parties and is not a party to the employment contract.
7. Station maintenance
- Mahattaty's role is limited to connecting station owners with technicians and maintenance companies. It is not a party to the agreement and is not responsible for work quality, warranty or payment. Price, warranty and payment are agreed directly between you.
- Technicians are responsible for the accuracy of their information and experience, and for holding the licenses and qualifications required to work at stations (especially electrical, firefighting and tanks).
- Ratings must be genuine and about work actually performed. Posting fake or abusive ratings is prohibited, and admins may hide them.
- Using technicians' or station owners' numbers for any purpose other than the requested work is prohibited.
8. Fuel transport trucks and trailers
- Sellers list their truck or trailer for sale for free, and the listing appears after review by the Mahattaty team. The review is a formality and doesn't mean Mahattaty has inspected the vehicle or its documents.
- The seller is responsible for the accuracy of all details: capacity, number of compartments, make, year, their answers about the smart card and the tanker's calibration certificate, and for owning the vehicle and having the right to sell it.
- Mahattaty is not a party to the sale and doesn't receive any payments. Buyers should inspect the vehicle and verify the license, smart card and calibration certificate, and complete the official ownership transfer before paying. We advise against transferring any money in advance.
- Sellers must mark the listing “Sold” as soon as it's sold. Admins may suspend any misleading, duplicate or reported listing.
9. Prohibited use
Posting misleading or abusive content, collecting user data, attempting to hack or disrupt the platform, or using the platform for any unlawful purpose is prohibited.
10. Limitation of liability
The service is provided “as is”. We don't guarantee that any deal will be completed, and we're not responsible for agreements made between users, to the extent permitted by law.
11. Account termination
You can delete your account at any time in the app or from the Delete account.
12. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms and will post the new date here. These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt unless otherwise agreed in writing.
